The band was formed by Mike Taggart and Zale Burley in 2007 while Zale was still in high school and Mike had just began university. The two began writing and recording songs in home-studios, layering tracks so that they could create complete, fleshed-out songs with just the 2 members. The duo continued recording and performing unplugged sets until they decided to form a "proper" rock band in 2011 when they found Alex Green (bass) and Brian Whalen (drums); Brian was soon replaced with member Jesse Pauls.

History

The beginning: Their first album "Baam!!!!" was completed in December of 2008 and received a very limited first pressing on CD. The "busy" years: The next album that they would finish was a double album entitled "Turn On The Lee Harvey Oswalds"; recording was finished in the summer of 2010 although the band could not afford to press it and it has yet to receive a proper release although there have been tracks leaked on the internet. Also in the summer of 2010 the band completed an EP entitled "Keep It Up", comprised largely of leftover songs and alternate versions from the "Turn On" sessions. In the fall of 2010 The Lee Harvey Oswalds recorded a darker album called "So Trash".  Recently: 2011 saw the release of a split released with Saint John NB garage rockers Wooden Wives entitled "Together We Make Sense Of Life" merging the titles of the  songs "Together We Make It Forever" (Wooden Wives song covered by The Oswalds on the split) and the song "Making Sense Of Life"(Oswalds song covered by The Wives on the split). This split was released on the label Hamburger Tapes and was launched in conjecture with the Saint John music festival 5 Seconds Of Decision.
