Formed in 2007, The Matinée has paid its dues touring constantly on the vast Canadian club circuit. This six-piece, self-styled roots-rock band consists of lifelong friends Matt Layzell, Matt Rose, Pete Lemon, Mike Young, Dave Young, and Geoff Petrie. They have embarked on multiple provincial and national tours, including their involvement with the B.C. Arts Council’s Artstarts Program and the B.C. Schizophrenia Society’s Reachout Tour.
